Maureen Berry has designed an inspired teapot shaped as the Young Queen Victoria in regal pose.

How darling! The Queen's tiny Pomeranian peeks out from under the folds of the royal gown.

So many of us picture Queen Victoria as she was in later years as a "woman of substance." What fun to think of her as a new queen, petite and slender and just beginning a reign that would last over 60 years! The cameo on her arm is an engagement present ~ a miniature painting of her beloved Albert! Engagement rings were not the custom at that time.
What a splendid heirloom gift for the Victoriana admirer, and a treasured addition to your own teapot collection.
The Queen holds 4-6 cups of tea and measures 8 1/2 inches in height and 9 inches from handle to spout. We suggest that you gently rest your hand (in a dignified manner, of course) on Her Majesty's shoulder when pouring... one Anne Boleyn is quite enough!
Please do not place in microwave or dishwasher ~ The Queen would NOT be amused!

Victoria, at the age of 18, was awakened at 6:00 A.M. to be told that she was queen. What? Before a proper cup of tea? Who could process such news?
Did you know that since Victoria was a monarch, she actually had to propose to Albert? Apparently this was not a problem, as he said "Yes." :)
